Our apartments are located on the very edge of the sea in a place called Suhi Potok, a small place on Dalmatian Riviera, under municipality of Dugi Rat.
The main characteristic of this place are isolated small bays and sand beaches edged with tamarisk trees. Private houses and apartments have undisturbed view on the see horizon on one side and big mountain with Mediterranean flora on the other. So it is a kind of place where the mountain meets the sea.
Suhi Potok stands between two great historical cities.
It is only 20 km distant from town Split, the second largest city in Croatia and the major touristic destination of the central Dalmatia, most famous for his history heritage especially Diocletian palace build by the roman emperor Diocletian between 295.-305., and protected by UNESCO from 1979.
If you come to Suhi Potok, the town of Omiš (6 km distant) is also the place you will probably want to visit. It is famous for its beautiful canyon of river Cetina and pirate games held during the summer time to honor town’s great history.
Omiš is a city with pleasant Mediterranean atmosphere. It is known for its turbulent history which is evidenced by numerous monuments like Mirabella Fortress, church of St. Michael, Franciscan Monastery, medieval town centre and other which we will leave you to discover.
In addition, it is a place where you can enjoy good traditional meals and many different activities like windsurfing, beach volleyball, rafting, kayaking, zipline, free climbing and others.
Due to the uniqueness of its location Suhi Potok can be an excellent choice for a quiet family vacation and also a great inspiration for all those who want to explore a local history and culture.
SHOPPING AND DINING - Restaurants and bars are located along the main road and they are accessible by foot. There you can also find a small shops where you can by all the necessary things for your pleasant vacation. For bigger needs, larger shopping is available in Dugi Rat, cities Omiš or Split.
