Getting to Umag

Savudrija lighthouse
The Savudrija lighthouse stands on the westernmost cape of Croatia and is 36 metres tall. Construction began in March 1817 and the light was first lit on the night of 17 April 1818. The Istria tourist board calls it the first lighthouse in the world to burn gas obtained by distilling coal. The sea is 30 metres from the lighthouse.
